A_TiffyFit's Review: The first few pages of SHE CAN SCREAM are so flipping creepy. It made me think about what I share and don't share on social media. I'm one of those who eschew sharing what I'm eating, where I'm eating, where I'm driving, who I'm with, etc. I just don't think the general population needs to know all that and I sure as hell am not going to give you my schedule of where I am going to be. Paranoid? No...at least not til I read those first few pages! ;)
I jumped into this series with book 3 for this tour. While they are in the same town and the police are the same people, you can read these in any order you want, really. SHE CAN SCREAM hits the ground running and doesn't stop, leaving you breathless and anxious as Brooke interrupts a killer and then is targeted by said killer. Determined to keep her students and her family safe, she actively pursues the killer despite the police asking her not to. A little bull-headed, you still can't help but admire Brooke and her tenacity. The sparks are flying between her and Luke, who has some of his own survivor's guilt to sort through, and I found myself urging them to get together already (although it's only been a few days, there is history there...Luke was friends with her younger brother and has harbored a crush on Brooke for decades).
While there is romance, it really takes backseat to this suspenseful thriller. I enjoyed every page and really...I had no idea who it was at all! I was every bit as surprised as Brooke! I can't wait to pick up the others in this series so that I'm champing at the bit for book 4, SHE CAN HIDE. Total page turner that read like a movie in my mind, 5 stars!
