FROM DARKNESS AND LIGHT
Someone is leaving a trail of bodies throughout London, and Detective Anthony Parglietto is determined to end the violence. Then he’ll return to the man he loves.
Tough, street-savvy, and used to dealing with lowlifes, Flynn Parker is the last person Anthony thinks he has to protect. Then the Bow-Tie Killer strikes close to home and the world turns upside down. Right is wrong, black is white, and a policeman might become a monster. But in the name of love, justice must be served. In the name of love, pain can be endured. In the name of love, a man can taste the very essence that defines him.
Sue is a PAN (Published Author’s Network) member of Romance Writers of America and a member of the Romantic Novelists Association in the UK. Also, she is a member of a rather unique writing group, called the Talliston Writer’s Circle, which in itself has a story all of its own to tell. She has written nine novels, two novellas and a screenplay since February 2012 and clearly believes in keeping herself busy. She has found herself wanting to stay in the sub-genre that is M/M Romance so more can definitely be expected.
Her plan is to keep writing as long as her muse sits upon her shoulder. Her dream is to make enough money to give up the day job and get that big old house in the English countryside overlooking a river, where she can write all day and continue to indulge her passion for telling stories.
Let's ask Susan:
1) Top Three Songs that you associate with Love and Punishment
Moves Like Jagger by Maroon Five –love this tune and my maiden name is Jagger J And Adam Levine is one of the hottest men ever…
Supremacy by Muse- such a powerful, awe inspiring song for me. I love everything this group does.
Over my Head by The Fray- another one of my all time favourite groups.
2) Top Three Desserts
Hmm. I’m not a big dessert eater actually. I’m more of a savoury girl, so let me think what I’d like to eat if I was a pudding eater..
Chocolate mousse would be #1. I am a big fan of chocolate…and gooey, soft, delicious mounds of it in a bowl would do me just right
Cheese Cake - preferably a New York Vanilla one, but I’m not too fussy as long as it’s not too fruity..
God old fashioned English Rice Pudding made with condensed mile and plenty of cinnamon..
3) Fantasy cast your two main characters
I wasn’t sure what this meant, you mean the two characters from Love and Punishment in a scene together? I thought I did that in the book once or twice *grins* So I answered slightly differently..
Can I be in the fantasy or this just a twosome thing? Because if a ménage a trois is on the cards I’d take Quinn Fairmont from Double Alchemy with his gorgeous leonine presence and the dishy Italian Anthony Parglietto from Love and Punishment. There’s something about being between these two men that speaks to the subservient in me *winks*
Oh, crap, you mean a fantasy with just the two of them ? Then the above two men are probably not the best mix, too toppy and alpha together. So I think Rain Engel from Waiting for Rain doing a really sexy pole dance for Owen from Worth Keeping. Owen would definitely appreciate that but I doubt Nick and Toby would be too happy J
4) Everyone asks authors about their writing rituals, but I want to know: what is your reading ritual?
The favourite part of my day is when I get into bed, with either a cup of tea, a hot chocolate or a glass of milk and a banana (I know, I know, very boring) settle down on my side, take out my Kindle and read until I am falling asleep. It’s MY time, the one time no one has any demands on me (well, apart from hubby when he wants conubial bliss heh heh) and I use it to best advantage. (The reading time, not the connubial bliss -although *thinks about it* and decides to shut up)
5) If you could ask every one of your readers to write a paragraph for you, what writing prompt would you give?
He breathed quietly, waiting for his eyes to adjust to the darkness that surrounded him like a fire blanket-heavy and oppressive. He knew Ryan was there, somewhere in the room. He simply didn’t know where. And when he found him, the world was going to fucking explode in shades of angry orange and violent red and blood was going to be spilt. If he didn’t kiss him first..
Write the paragraph preceding this one….
