SAGE picks up right where ANGEL left off. This starts off with one hurting main character and more of everything. More action, more romantic developments, more friendship bonds, more powers developing, more teamwork, more....EVERYTHING.

There are parts where I felt it was getting a bit laggy, especially when it came to the romance section, but I think it was because I was more eager for them to get out there with action. HOWEVER, those conversations about their relationship, in regards to their stances on things, etc., are needed and I'm glad they were there. Without them, the relationship would've felt flat and just a cheap trick to make romance junkies happy. Instead, you get this incredible relationship that isn't just built on lust as you would imagine from the treatments, but trust and very fragile bonds that build on top of one another.

I am SO incredibly intrigued by HEX versus ANGEL and while we get a hint of it from the doctor, I'd like to learn more about HEX immediately and compare the differences. Have our superheroes just been hoodwinked this entire time by the government? Or are those HEXers just superbrainwashed?

My jaw dropped at where this book leaves off. It's not just a cliffhanger, it's in the middle of a darn scene! Luckily, I have book 3. Phew. But first, I must pass out from exhaustion as I just read books 1 and 2 back to back throughout the night and that was AFTER I had read another novel. Kindlebruisers and pageturners, indeed!

A geek of all trades, Starla Huchton has been crafting stories in various genres since 2007. Her first novel, The Dreamer’s Thread was released as a full cast audiobook podcast, becoming a double-nominee and finalist for the 2010 Parsec Awards. After releasing short fiction of steampunk, noir fantasy, and other varieties, she released the first three books of the Sci-Fi Romance Endure series in 2013. All three books of the Evolution series will be released in 2014, as well as a Steampunk Fantasy novel, Master of Myth (the Antigone’s Wrath series, book 1), which was the first place winner of the Crested Butte Writers’ contest, The Sandy, in 2012.
