The V V Inn has a ghost problem. When the lurking specters draw the attention of Constantine, head of Grim Reaper Services, he calls in the only local who can return the remote resort to its former tranquility, Lisa Carron—resident Alaskan reaper.

Still new to the death gig, Lisa accepts the job. After all, how much trouble could one ghost be? Once at the hotel, she learns that not only is the inn full of the dearly departed, she’ll also be working for vampires. Throw in Asa, a young vamp hot enough to melt the Arctic ice, and Lisa realizes she’s way out of her element.

Asa didn’t know what to expect when told a reaper would be working on the property, but Lisa certainly wasn’t it. Blond and curvy, she’s very easy on the eyes. Tasked with helping her, Asa soon realizes that not only can she provide the dead a peaceful passing, but offer him solace in a way no other woman can.

This was such a fun way to start off the new year of reading! In case you missed it, Lisa Carron makes her first appearance in Boone Brux's "To Catch Her Death" which I reviewed HERE. To Catch Her Death was a fun read, with Lisa's voice hilarious and snarky as she deals with the death of her husband, discovering what his TRUE job was, and finding out she's next in line...

This book fast forwards a little bit from where we last left Lisa and this time she's sent to The V V Inn to reap a few souls "discretely", as asked by Constantine. What Lisa doesn't realize until she's already there and talking to Asa, is that she's there to reap some vamps and werewolves.

Of course, Lisa is not shocked by this. After all, if she's a reaper, there must be other paranormal myths walking around right? What she is shocked by is how attracted she is to Asa. And Asa is just as intrigued by her, although he vacillates often until a near dead-dead experience for him which makes him decide to grab happiness where he can.

The souls Lisa is sent to reap are harder than humans. These are not Deaths by Stupidity; these are supernaturals and Lisa finds out that having that talisman and a familiar AND Hal Lee Lewya as her porter makes her a special reaper indeed.

Sexy, witty, hilarious commentary by Lisa, I wanted her to be real and be one of my friends. LOL Loved her and Asa getting together, loved the possibilities of more crossovers in the future, and holy moly...I can't wait to find out more about Lisa and her uniqueness as a reaper!
