Excerpt:

Snap out of it! Say hello dummy. “Call me Lylah, hi, nice to meet you too,” I said stretching out my hand to meet his, frozen in place, mesmerized with his beautiful blue eyes. I felt I could see straight through to his soul. His face was so strong and at the same time so tender, I felt lost in his expression.

Holding my gaze and my hand longer than the usual greetings last, he let go, and he moved slightly back, letting me go pass him to the sofa.

I looked around as I made my way to the sofa, admiring all the trophies displayed in the family room where we were gathered. Instead of a family room, it looked like a shrine for Britney. This seemed to be very typical of parents with an only child. There were pictures on display from her first step to her junior year. Cheerleading trophies, Dance Competition trophies, you name it, she's done it. After making my way to my seat, I took a deep breath and I suddenly felt at ease and not nervous at all, my nerves had disappeared.

“So what do you have in mind?” He asked us, his eyes met mine once again, and this time I looked down, afraid that he would see straight through to me. I was afraid he would be able to know exactly what I was thinking, how in awe I was of him. How immature I felt, be strong, he’s only a guy, I said eagerly to myself. Then again, so what if he looks at me, and notices how in awe I am of him? With my newly found confidence, I found myself admiring him even more. I thought how his white t-shirt showed his muscles on his chest and arms just right, and how his blue jeans formed around him perfectly. He really was beautiful, and I couldn’t take my eyes off of him, but it was much more than that, although his physical appearance was nice, something about him was drawing me to him, and I couldn’t explain it.
