A_TiffyFit's Review: Gargoyle Addiction is a different kind of gargoyle book! I've not read many, but this is vastly different, a whole new world! Dragon descendants, mythical beings, a brief appearance by weres, and an explanation as to why Karla's family members keep dying before they are 35. The sexual attraction between Karla and Kann is palpable and steamy hot!

Karla gets home after a night out clubbing with her BFF, Mike. She opens the present Mike gave her for her birthday and it's an Advanced Reader's Copy of the next book in her favorite series featuring a main character named Kann Varis. She falls asleep and awakens to find Kann in her room, sitting in a chair, angry and glaring, accusing her of summoning him.

We find out in the course of the plot that Karla is the last of a summonari line: humans with the magical ability to call forth whatever they wish to summon. Karla & Kann have to go to Piatra, Kann's homeland, as the summoning ends. Karla finds that it is a vicious place where one must always watch his or her back and that even the young (children) are vicious, bloodthirsty creatures with no human sensibilities. She finds a friend in Hanu's mate, Dag, (Hanu is Kann's brother) and a common enemy with Dag in Hanu's twin sister, Hannah.

I enjoyed watching Karla expand her powers, befriend Dag, learn more about herself, her family's history, and the otherworlds, and her constant friction with Kann. I hope this continues as a series, and I'm hoping that Karla will summon Hanu and Dag to be with her and Kann so that they can all be happy away from that hell that is gargoyle life. I wouldn't like to be in Piatra, either. Fantastic paranormal romance that is interesting and different from what I've read before!
