Feature & Follow!

Q:  Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate — ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?

I wouldn't pick up a book that I thought I would hate. Why waste my time when there are so many wonderful things out there for me to read and ENJOY? There have been some books that I thought I would love and I just utterly ended up hating though. Like the Featured Blogger today, I, too, was totally traumatized by "Where the Red Fern Grows." And "The Yearling." I, too, threw them across the room!

  5. I sometimes think I will hate a book but if people I trust love it, I might eventually pick it up. It's a rare occasion, but it happens. One book I thought I would love but hated was Mara Dyer...ugh, not for me. I fell in love with the cover though. Oh well!

    1. The cover looks amazing for the Mara Dyer books; the description made me think it's not for me, however.

  6. I agree 100% on what you said. I would not waste my time on a book that I think I would hate. It makes no sense, unless its for school.

  7. Haha, I'm learning to resist books I'll hate even if I'm interested in them. It's kinda hard, though, because sometimes the pull is too strong, and I just go for them anyways. LOL

  10. I try not to pick up these books. Sometimes the synopsis and the plot seems interesting while reading the book is not. It do happens.
