X’s deep rumbling growl stopped me short. “I don’t give a shit about Max and Zee.” He dropped his head down to the side of my neck that didn’t have a bandage on it. “It went away—the crazy thoughts—after what happened between us. I felt normal for a while, at peace.” I stiffened when he drew his teeth over my skin. “I want to feel that again.” A strangled cry like he was being tortured escaped his chest. “Please.”
“I’m not going to let you bite me like some kind of fucked up vampire. Maybe someone else wouldn’t mind but—“
“I don’t want anyone else,” he growled, his voice going completely guttural. “I need you. Only you.”
My nostrils flared with agitation, and strangely enough I still didn’t feel afraid of X. Mostly I just felt like a virgin trying to keep a horny guy out of my pants, but instead I was attempting to keep his teeth out of my flesh. “I said no.” I shoved at his chest but it was like pushing at a brick wall.
“Please,” he begged, nuzzling my neck.
“I swear to God, Bo, if you bite me again I’m going to pull your teeth out with pliers. Rusty ones.”
“I’m not Bo anymore,” he spat even though he didn’t bother pulling his face away from me.
“Fine.” I rolled my eyes. “X—if you bite me again—“
Sharp fangs sunk into me with an audible pop. X groaned and pressed his body into mine. I pummeled his back with my fists. “No means no, asshole! You can’t have my blood!” Slurping sounds accompanied by another groan was my only answer.
