In MATCHPOINT, the second book of my Matchmaker series, all hell breaks loose. Literally. I mean, there’s a cult, a flying donkey, a grisly murder, and love.
Love’s good, but don’t be fooled: It’s just as dangerous as flying donkeys. Love can lobotomize you quicker than an ice pick. Love can empty your bank account, turn you into a drooling idiot, and basically ruin your life.
But love is so good. It’s pretty much worth it getting lobotomized just for that wonderful feeling of loving and being loved. Have you ever been in love and later thought: What was I thinking?
Yeah, me, too, but during the moment, it’s sooo good.
The main character in MATCHPOINT is Gladie Burger, and she’s in the love business. People come to her because they don’t want the pain of love. They only want it to work, to find the right one, have the committed relationship, and sail off into the sunset forever. That’s Gladie’s job. Not too easy.
In fact, Gladie’s discovered that she’s much better at the murder business. That is, solving murders. But she’s not giving up with love because she wants to help people.
Of course, she could use some help, herself. I’m not going to tell you if she finds love for herself or not (you have to read the series!), but she gives it a try. She’s helpless to stop herself. She would have better luck stop a flying donkey.
